"Conversation. What is it? A Mystery! It's the art of never seeming bored, of touching everything with interest, of pleasing with trifles, of being fascinating with nothing at all. How do we define this lively darting about with words, of hitting them back and forth, this sort of brief smile of ideas which should be conversation?" Guy de Maupassant

Gurgaon - The Face of Rapid Urbanization in India

Some more pictures from my stay in Delhi - this is another facet of development in India.  The new face of Gurgaon - a satellite town off Delhi. The place is really transformed from what i remember it to be around 7 years ago, and i kept staring in wonder at the number of really swanky malls and futuristic looking building facades.  Its also becoming a 'hang-out' spot for youth in Delhi, with their sports bikes, hairdos and 'hip-hop' gear.

Read Kaushik Banerjee's neat description of how Gurgaon has developed here.

Would be interesting to observe whether rapid urbanization of this kind is really changing just the 'face' of parts of India, what deeper socio-cultural changes it might bring about, and what implications in the future for the people of India and for Business.
